The final announcement made during Nintendo Direct for the month of September was a significant one. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will be available for the Nintendo Switch, as previously revealed by Nintendo.
The game was first made available to consumers in 2004 for the GameCube platform. According to Nintendo, the updated version of the Switch features improved graphics in addition to other enhancements. It is anticipated that it will be made available sometime in 2024. The Thousand-Year Door is a sequel to the Nintendo 64 game Paper Mario and features a graphic style that is supposed to replicate the appearance of hand-drawn artwork. In 2007, Super Paper Mario was made available for the Wii, but it wasn’t until 2020 that Paper Mario: The Origami King was made available on the Switch.

New Combat Mechanisms Revealed by Nintendo for the Super Mario RPG Remake
In the upcoming Super Mario RPG remake, Mario and friends will be able to deal more damage than ever before thanks to revamped combat. The changes were featured during Nintendo’s special September Nintendo Direct event. In the turn-based RPG, for example, Mario, Peach, Geno, and others can deal damage to all enemies in front of them with a well-timed strike. Accurately pressing a button to attack adversaries will also fill a fresh action gauge.
At full health, it unleashes a Triple Move that varies in style depending on the characters you’ve chosen. Nintendo has confirmed that there will be post-game boss rematches in the remade Super Mario RPG, and that they will be harder than the originals.
The first iteration of Super Mario RPG came out in 1996 for the Super Nintendo. As a partnership with Squaresoft, it was the first time that the character crossed into the RPG genre, and introduced elements like timing-based attacks that have been used throughout later Mario RPG incarnations like the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series. While Square was allowed to create its own original plot, several new characters were introduced that had not previously appeared in any other media.
The Mario RPG remake retains the original’s short, square characters and isometric viewpoint, but updates the graphics. Release date for the new Super Mario RPG is set for November 17.
