Best 7 Mods That Will Make Your “FFXIV” Experience 100x Better
Are you tired of the same old FFXIV experience? Do you want to take your game to the next level? Then check out these seven mods that will change your way of gaming!
Final Fantasy XIV is a pretty big Massively Multiplayer Online game, so you can expect that most mods will only change the look of the game or how it really works and these days, it just doesn’t make sense to change a game’s core features too much if you’re going to play with people who don’t have mods loaded and the servers will kick you out anyway.
But you can install a lot of great game mods that will improve the experience of the gameplay as well as textures and shading, and anything that’s on your side is generally safe. However, there are some mods that are not allowed, so you have to be a little concerned while picking up the mods, so you should always do your homework first😉.
But you don’t have to do it… as for my readers, I have researched some of the best mods that are quite the best, let’s hit in.
Things To Keep in Mind- This list of mods is presently updated while it undergoes a complete overhaul. In this, we have listed around seven mods that you’ll love for sure.
Improving The Game Visual- FFXIV Mods
There is a mod in Final Fantasy XIV that allows players to customize the aesthetics, lighting, and other characteristics of the game. These features include the ability to specify characters’ faces, hair, and headwear, among other things. Below we have listed some of the best graphic mods-
- Alive GShade Preset- Link
- Face Defined- Link
- Hair Defined- Link
- Eyeworks / Owl’s Eyes of Eorzea- Link/ Link(Eyes of Eorzea)
- NPC Defined- Link
- Hrothgar and Viera Hats- Link
- Flicker Optimization and V-Sync Stutter Fix.- Link
Griffin Mount Retexture Pack
The game’s Griffin Mount is great. But after staring at it for so long, you start to get bored. You can further personalize the game’s visuals, even if no one else sees them, by installing up to four new griffin textures with this update. The Griffin Mount Retexture, like the other add-ons here, is strictly a client-side affair. On the other hand, this is what makes it work without any compatibility problems.
Before we go any further, there is a catch we have compiled a list of things that you have probably considered at least once during your gaming career.
- Have you ever thought to see the Eorzea without the distraction of pets?
- Would you rather that all Chocobos simply vanish into thin air?
- Are you bored of encountering so many fellow explorers?
If that’s the case, you might be interested in checking out VisibilityPlugin, a plugin that allows you to disable specific models in-game. It’s useful for clearing the decks, but it can also make you feel like you’re Hydaelyn’s only hope for a Warrior of Light.

Advanced Combat Tracker And XIVAuras
DPS Meter, or Advanced Combat Tracker is a mod that provides an in-depth breakdown of every facet of combat. Statistics such as damage dealt, health restored, damage taken, and more are all tracked. It’s the best approach to hone your professional routine and “git gud.”
If you find that your character’s statistics are slightly higher than those of his or her fellow adventurers, don’t act superior. On the other hand, when talking about the XIV Auras it is a helpful little mod that will prominently display all your buffs, including how long it will be active before it runs out. This allows you to buff yourself and your party more efficiently, improving your job rotation in the process.
Are you looking for ways to improve your FNF gameplay? If so, you’re in luck! There are a number of mods that can help you take your game to the next level. In my recent post, I shared a list of the 5 best FNF mods that will make your gameplay thousand times better.
FFXIV Mods Custom UI
Strangely, a non-modder made this modification. They were left out despite the fact that the Custom UI bundle was included with the game. However, this simply switches the in-game interface to the one that was concealed in the game files, giving you access to the enhanced interface.
The reason this was buried deep within the game’s code is unknown (at least to me). But hey, we shouldn’t grumble! It’s great when a community member takes the time to aid others by releasing previously locked features at no cost.
HD Hrothgar Faces
The default Hrothgar faces in the game has a rather unpleasant appearance that doesn’t look scary. The true face definitions are devoid or we can say absent of any true differentiation, which gave the impression that the creatures were weaker than they actually were. As a consequence of this, the Hrothgar faces mod improves the default textures by exchanging them for high-definition models in their place.
This hack ensures that the feline eyes and fur have been replaced with their high-definition counterparts, as they appear silly in standard definition. This is because high definition is superior to standard definition in terms of visual quality.
Hrothgar and Viera Hats
The hat requirements of the Viera and Hrothgar characters have been a major headache for the Final Fantasy XIV design team. Because of the clipping, it is impossible to adequately portray some caps on their peculiarly shaped skulls and ears. The problem was eventually resolved thanks to the efforts of the FFXIV modding community.
Your Viera or Hrothgar can now use the visor on their equipment thanks to the Hrothgar and Viera Hats download and installation. Keep in mind that other people won’t be able to see your fancy headwear unless they have the mod loaded as well.
The Hrothgar and Viera Hats Guide is available for reading and downloading.
